Job Description
As a Copywriter, you will plan, create, and deliver engaging branded content for clients that enhances their return on investment. Working closely with the Creative team, you will develop monthly content themes and plans and content-driven pitches that align with overall client strategies. Your role involves crafting SEO-focused blog and website content, managing SEO content updates, and developing creative SEO content and social media plans.

Primary Responsibilities
As a Copywriter and SEO Specialist at Digitlab, you will take on various tasks to successfully deliver engaging and results-driven content for our clients. Your role will involve a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and technical expertise to develop and execute comprehensive content strategies. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Client Understanding
Develop a deep understanding of the client’s goals, strategies, and business. This knowledge will enable you to tailor content that aligns with their objectives and resonates with their target audience.
Communication Plans
Create robust communication plans that meet client expectations. Your ability to craft clear and effective communication strategies will ensure our client’s messages are delivered accurately and compellingly.
Content Creation
Write content for websites, social media, email, digital adverts, mobile apps, and other digital channels. Your diverse writing skills will allow you to produce engaging and relevant content across multiple platforms.
SEO Content
Write blog posts, manage SEO content updates, and develop creative SEO content plans. You will use your SEO expertise to enhance our client’s online presence and drive organic traffic to their websites.
Storytelling
Transform product requirements into compelling stories across all touchpoints, including micro-content, UI labels, emails, and long-form copy. Your storytelling ability will help to communicate product benefits and features in a captivating way.
Social Media Plans
Develop and plan creative social media content strategies. Your innovative ideas will help our clients engage with their audience and build a solid online community.
Presentation
Present content plans and articulate your thinking to teammates and stakeholders. Your presentation skills will ensure that the team and clients communicate and receive your ideas well.
Collaboration
Work with designers to influence layout, interactions, and visual design. Your collaborative approach will help create cohesive and visually appealing content that enhances the user experience.
Coordination
Ensure a consistent end-to-end experience by coordinating content with Brand, Marketing, and Operations teams. Your organisational skills will ensure that all content aligns with the overall strategy and is timely.
Technology Awareness
Stay updated on digital technologies and new communication methods. Your tech-savvy nature will allow you to incorporate the latest tools and trends into your content strategies.
Data-Driven Improvement
Use data and research to evaluate content impact and push for continuous improvement. Your analytical skills will help to refine content strategies and achieve better results.
Content Standards
Maintain and evolve content standards, including voice and tone. Your attention to detail will ensure that all content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent voice.
Brief Development
Interrogate briefs and develop content-led responses. Critical thinking will help understand client needs and create compelling content solutions.
Idea Development
Collaborate with community managers and the content team to develop ideas, audience insights, and distribution strategies. Your creativity will contribute to generating innovative content ideas and approaches.
Project Ownership
Take ownership of projects, ensuring all copy is checked and grammatically correct. Your proactive approach will ensure that all projects are completed to a high standard and meet client expectations.
Adhoc Responsibilities
Edit reports and proposals and brief freelancers on copywriting projects and content plans. Your flexibility and attention to detail will ensure that all written materials are of the highest quality.
HubSpot Expertise
Understanding of HubSpot for content creation, dynamic content, automation, sequencing, and developing engaging and dynamic content in the HubSpot environment. Your proficiency with HubSpot will enable you to create and manage effective marketing campaigns.
Key Competencies
Experience: 2-5 years of experience writing web and mobile content, preferably for HubSpot or CRM user experiences. SEO experience is essential.
SEO Skills: Proficiency in SEMRush with certification preferred.
HubSpot Skills: HubSpot certification is a must, as well as an understanding of content creation, dynamic content, automation, and sequencing within the HubSpot environment.
Project Management: Skilled in managing multiple projects, setting stakeholder expectations, and collaborating across teams.
Communication Skills: Excellent creative communication and critical-thinking skills.
Diligence: Thorough and strategy-led approach.
Agency Experience: Previous experience working in a fast-moving agency environment is preferred.
Adaptability: Open to learning new systems/tools and combining technology with their skills to produce the best outcomes.
Listening Skills: Listening to a brief, and understanding of the client’s brand and guidance.
Initiative: Show initiative, take ownership of projects, and make independent decisions when necessary.
