As a Community Manager and Content Creator, you will be expected to implement and administrate digital marketing campaigns on behalf of our clients. If you are creative, meticulous, organised, disciplined, hardworking, and looking to progress your career in the world of social media marketing, then this is the job for you…

Responsibilities


    • Working with our editorial team and content strategist to develop unique content that represents the client and drives community engagement.
    • As the custodian of a client’s brand, your job will be to live and nurture their communities using creative messaging and engaging content.
    • Set up, maintain and monitor social media accounts and digital marketing channels for clients.
    • Manage the day-to-day activities for clients.
    • Support implementation of social media initiatives.
    • Write and upload customer facing content to social networks on behalf of clients.
    • Input into communication strategies and creative concepts for client content.
    • Research related to client content and their communities.
    • Track, monitor, report on, and respond to client mentions in user-generated content.
    • General administrative duties and assisting senior staff where necessary.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree, National Diploma or similar, specialising in Communications, Copywriting, Journalism, English or a related field.
  • Energetic, positive outlook, with a good sense of humour!
  • Excellent writing, communication, and verbal skills
  • General tech savvy
  • Interest in digital marketing, new technologies, and social media
  • Ability to adapt and deliver content across a spectrum of industries.
  • Research-oriented
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with attention to detail
  • Active on social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
  • Must thrive in a team environment
  • Creative problem solver and willingness to learn
  • Understanding of marketing concepts
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and jobs, and driven by productivity
  • A proactive approach and ability to take initiative
  • Goal-oriented, creative, and adaptable

  • This is an office-based position in Kloof (Durban).
  • This is a junior/mid position, best suited for someone looking to kickstart their digital marketing career.
