Digitlab Making A Difference

The Digitlab team decided that rather than having a last team building for 2013, we would spend a day helping a worthy cause.  We identified a charity called The Nyusa Project, which was recently launched and based at Kwadinabakubo School in Molweni KZN.  The Nyusa Project is aimed at equipping high school children (16 from this school) with life skills, extra lessons, coaching and networking opportunities.

The project hopes to help and equip these children, and hopefully many more in the future, with life skills and tertiary education for a brighter future. The children meet once a week with the mentors, and for this the school offered an old classroom for the project to run from.  Unfortunately the classroom needed a lot of work, and was where we decided we could help for the day.

The Digitlab team headed down to the school on the 11 December and got to work.  We cleaned two rooms, and painted the main room that will be the learning centre for these children. We put up shelves with books, and tables and chairs for them to sit at when learning.  It was a very humbling experience for us all  – that we could contribute what we took for granted as basics when we were all at school.  We wish all these students and the project the best of luck and success as we go into 2014. We hope to continue to do these kinds of projects in the future.

Please like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter, to keep up to date with these and other exciting projects we have planned for 2014.

With very warm hearts we wish all our clients and followers a happy and blessed festive season.

The Digitlab Team.
