Building Great Virtual Teams

Fine tune your digital workspace to get the best out of your teams working remotely with a complimentary consultation!

Remote working is nothing new, it’s been around for a number of years. Certain industries have embraced it early, some would struggle to implement it. One thing is certain though, COVID-19 forced us all into the virtual workspace regardless of our readiness for it.

For Digitlab, this transition was seamless. We encourage our teams to make use of our flexi-time policies, allowing them to work from home or at either of our Durban or Johannesburg offices. Lockdown didn’t pose as big of an obstacle for us to overcome – our team knew the drill and took to it. All the same, to be working in this space for an extended period of time presented some niggles for us to iron out. Central to that was Clare van Rensburg, our Employee Experience Designer.

You may be wondering what that title means. We’re a firm believer that the Human Resource department of any company should be empowered to administer way more than just the internal policies and contractual items. How your employees experience working for your company is what they will say to their friends who may be interested in working for you or getting work done by you. By giving HR managers further license to craft a work environment that allows people to perform at their optimum is in your best interest, and Clare has a passion for drawing up the blueprints to make that happen.

Last month, we launched complimentary consultation sessions with Mike which gave you an opportunity to speak through the business problems you were facing in the light of COVID-19. These went tremendously well, we see the value in an obligation-free conversation about your business and allowing us to do what we do best – listen and suggest ways forward.

We’re excited to be bringing these complimentary consultations back for a limited time – this time talking through how to build great virtual teams with Clare van Rensburg. These sessions are an hour long and will take place between the 20th of May and the 19th of June 2020. At Digitlab, we value our employees tremendously and do our best to create a healthy virtual workspace for them to thrive in. Let’s talk about how we can do the same for you!
